BMW 330 Ci SPORT - 2000
By Steve Bell, 16 June 2008
Although the BMW E46 3-Series tested here is over 7 years old, with lots of TLC and a lick of polish it still looks as new as an up to date £40K sleek coupe. BMW’s long line of classy-coupe’s goes back to 1975 when the classic 2002 replacement first hit the streets. Codenamed E21, the 3-series has built up a cult following that sits alongside cars such as the Porsche 911 and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Taking over the baton from its predecessor (the E36) this 330 Ci Sport is extremely inexpensive to own.
NOBLE M12 GTO 3R - 2004
By Steve Bell, 11 June 2008
Barwell, Liecester. No the sort of place you associate a British sport car manufacturer to have its HQ. Founded and designed by Lee Noble, the car I’m testing here, the M12 GTO 3R, has gained global recognition. Although the majority of the mechanical and esthetic parts are courtesy of Ford, up close and personal the M12 certainly changes your perception about hand built British supercars.

INSIDE THE TRADE
YOUR GUIDE TO: BUYING
By Steve Bell, 19 June 2008
Whether yo like it or not, the phrase: “he’s a bit of an Arthur Daley” is still used today. The brush that has tarnished the salesmans reputation is as busy today as it ever was. Having spent over 15 years in the motor trade myself, let me tell you one thing: It hasn’t changed. Yes, you may be able to sit in a modern car showroom on a nice leather sofa, watch Sky news on an expensive plasma and drink coffee from a china cup, but all salesman are driven (and pushed) to do one thing: Sell cars.
YOUR GUIDE TO: FINANCE
By Steve Bell, 10 June 2008
Choosing the right car at the right price is one thing, paying for it is another. If you’re looking for finance, the package your dealer offers you is far from the hundreds of others available. How do you spot a good deal? Make sure your quotes includes the annual percentage rate (APR) and the total amount payable by the end of the term. Compare with like for like, too.
